WELCOME
Therapy as a threshold moment
Something brought you here. Maybe it's something that happened, or something that keeps happening. Maybe you've been carrying it for a long time, and you're finally ready to set it down somewhere safe.
At Threshold Psychotherapy, our work is grounded in the belief that healing requires more than conversation. Healing happens in the body, in the nervous system, and in the experience of secure relationships. I draw on Somatic Experiencing, attachment theory, and Internal Family System informed Parts Work, adapting my approach to each client’s unique needs.
Whether you're a trauma survivor, an immigrant navigating a difficult legal process, a clinician growing into your own practice, or someone simply moving through a complex season of life, there is a way through. My commitment is to walk alongside you in that crossing.
How I can help
01
Trauma Therapy
Trauma therapy at Threshold is grounded in Somatic Experiencing (SE), a body-oriented approach developed by Dr. Peter Levine that works with the nervous system rather than requiring detailed verbal recounting of traumatic events.
02
Immigration Evaluations
Immigration evaluations offer the courts and USCIS a clinical picture of a person’s psychological history, trauma, and the potential consequences of deportation or denial. A comprehensive evaluation can make all the difference in a case.
03
Clinical Supervision
Clinical supervision with me is relational, reflective, and honest. I take seriously both the technical dimensions of developing as a clinician and the deeper questions of professional identity, values, and sustainable practice.
Understanding Somatic Experiencing
Somatic Experiencing (SE) is a body-oriented approach to healing trauma developed by Dr. Peter Levine. SE works gently with the body's natural capacity to process and release the stuck energy of traumatic experience.
SE is particularly effective for people who have tried talk therapy and found that words don't quite reach the part that's hurting. A tightness in the chest, near constant hypervigilance, or the feeling of being not-quite-present in your own life.
As a Somatic Experiencing Practitioner (SEP), I bring this approach to every aspect of the work, including immigration evaluations, where bearing witness to someone's story with care and attunement is itself a form of healing.
SE can help with
